2016-2017
An experimental period of applying different styles in acrylic, oils, colour pencil and watercolour. She stopped capturing every hair in favour of shape and texture. You can see Fay's "signature style" evolving througha series of black and white, dry brushed pieces, which was soon to become her hallmark technique.

























2015
Fay was diving deeper into the vibrant world of colored pencils, exploring their rich possibilities. Alongside this, she embarked upon her first experiments with acrylic paint, discovering a new medium that captivated her creativity and facilitated a major level up in her artistic evolution.

In this early period, Fay worked exclusively in watercolours and graphite, creating vibrantly coloured pieces, in great detail, built up over multiple layers. In many ways she was asking the paints to behave like acrylics, and whilst she achieved some striking visuals contrasts, it soon became apparent that watercolour held too many limitations and a change of medium was required.
