I went for an exploration of the Wye Valley Woodlands this week. Other posts showcase the habitats themselves but here's a few of the ancient woodland indicators and other species I found! I'll add more as I work through!

Wayfaring tree Viburnum lantana

Dotted all over the Wynd Cliff.

Wild madder Rubra peregrina

Basically cleavers on steroids! Found on the Wynd Cliff this is a species of dry, calcareous, rocky conditions. It has a very southwestern and coastal distribution.
